January crop

Hi everyone,

The next crop will be held on Sunday 15th January - 10.00am - 5.00pm (note change of time) at Cheswick Green Village Hall.

This has already sold out on preorders.  If you have already ordered one then the cost for the class will be £6 and the photo size is 4.25" x 6.25" although the layout can be adopted for other sizes or multiple photos if you prefer.

December Challenge

You can almost hear those jingle bells!  With Christmas just around the corner, this month's crop will be a little laid back.  We are starting at 12pm and hopefully we will have a super buffet lunch to get festivities under way.

11th December Crop

Hi everyone,

Our next crop will now be held on 11th December from 12noon until 6pm.  It will be held at Widney Junior School, Clifton Crescent, Shirley, Solihull (off Widney Lane) - for a detailed map please click here.

There won't be a class at this crop but please feel free to bring along a few nibbles so we can make it a bit more of a party.

Price of the crop will be £5.

November Class

This month's class features the fabulous papers from My Mind's Eye.  Lost and Found 2 are every bit as gorgeous as their predecessors.  My selection of papers have lovely glittery accents.

This simple design will be a walk in the park to make.  We'll be making our own little accents so you'll be able to use a variety of photo sizes.  As the colours are so neutral - you should get away with lots of subjects too.

The kit includes a set of journal stickers which can be used here and there.

Prima flowers in autumnal colours just for a little POP!

All the papers are double-sided and there is loads left over to make cards including some great accents.

Think we'll have a lot of fun with this class next month.  We have a limited number of kits available at a cost of £6 each, so be sure to book yours now.

Crop - 18th September

We've been busy, busy, busy here. Nicki and I are recuperating from the charity crop last Saturday.  My feet ached for days as the hall was huge!  Thanks all for making it such a fabulous day out - I had a whale of a time.

It's my turn with this month's class.  I picked out some gorgeous Prima papers mainly because of the sweet birdies and rhymes around the edge.

I teamed these papers up with some beautiful co-ordinating flowers, pretty pearls and lace.

My photo is a 4x3 landscape, but you'll get away with a slightly larger photo (or a standard 4x6 if you create a large photo mat).

A very limited number of classes are available and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.  The cost of this class is £6.

Only 4 more Days...

Until our charity crop in aid of Cancer Research.

Emails have been sent out to everyone with more details of the day's activities and tool list.

I finally got a photo of my class although it isn't the sharpest, you'll get the idea.

I have used a 4x3" landscape photo, but a 6x4" landscape can probably be used in its place.

Just bring your usual tools for this class and some distress Inks if you have them (who could travel without them?)

Creative Moments will be bringing their shop.  Please feel free to browse their on-line store and contact them directly if you would like anything in particular.

The huge raffle has loads of prizes including a year's subscription to Craft Stamper Magazine, Scrapbook albums, kits, and much more.  We'll publish a full list of donations shortly.

Look forward to meeting you all and raising lots of money for such a great cause.

Charity Crop Mini Book

Hi everyone - here are a couple of the pages for the mini book we will be creating at the Charity Crop on 10th September:

Cover:

as you can see the title of the book is "Welcome to my World" - you can interpret this anyway you want but my book includes a photo of me (honest!), a photo of my house, one of my garden and two of my family - however if you wish to include photos of a different theme please feel free.

The photo sizes are roughly (width first):
Photo one (of myself) - 3.75" x 3.75"
Photo two (of my house) - 4.5" x 3.25"
Photo three (of my garden) - 4.75" x 3.75"
Photos four and five (of my family) - 4.25" x 3.25"

however these sizes are just a rough guideline as long as non of your photos are bigger than 5" x 4" then they can easily be placed on the pages.

There are also six tags included in the book and these can accomodate up to another six photos no bigger than 2" x 3".

Here are a couple of pages to whet your appetite even more!

We will shortly be sending out an email listing the tools we require you to bring - and also don't forget to bring along some cash as we will be selling raffle tickets on the day - we have some fabulous prizes.  There will also be a shop coming along so we can all treat ourselves to some nice goodies - you know we all deserve it!

Hi everyone, can't believe our crop is just this Sunday isn't it nice not having to wait another 2 weeks for our papercrafting day of fun!

Here is a picture of Sunday's class - we only have a limited quantity this month so please prebook if  you want one - thanks :)

Craft for a Cure Kit

I hope you have already noticed by now, that we are holding a crop & workshop in aid of Cancer Research UK.  We'll be raising loads of lovely lolly in the hope that we can put a stop to this horrible disease.

Well onto the kit.  It arrived today and it is GORGEOUS!  Ooh, Nicki & I have such impeccable taste!  Let's start off with a photo...

Although not complete yet, you'll get a good idea of what it will look like.  It has the fabulous Victoria Gardens from Echo Park, the prettiest lush flowers from Prima as well as little embellishments and trinkets.  We'll obviously stuff as much pretty into the kit as we can manage.

There are still some places left if you want to join in the fun.  Your ticket includes the gorgeous kit, 2 workshop classes (a layout and mini-book), buffet lunch and refreshments.

Also, Creative Moments have confirmed that they will be bringing their lovely shop to the crop.  Ooh - they have some lovely products in store.  Better start saving girls!

17th July Crop

Newsletters are going out today, but here is a view of this month's class.

We have a lovely grown-up class this month with a vintage style.  A little light cutting up of images and lots of layering.

Colours are muted blue and green so should go well with lots of different photos.  I used a trimmed photo (approx. 5x4").

There are a very limited number of classes available, so be sure to book yours asap.

Sorry for the Interruption

As some of you may have realised, that our normal web site has stopped working.  :(

This is because I forgot to check how long the domain lasted for and it has run out.  However, I am in the process of sorting it all out although it is taking longer than expected.  So in the meantime, please watch this space and of course Nicki & my personal blogs (see side panel).

Craft for a Cure
